EVANS, N.Y. (WIVB) - New York State's fiscal watchdog says the Town of Evans illegally used more than $2 million in funds.

State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli says over the past five years, the town used money that should have gone towards a water project on water operations.

Town officials responded to the audit and say corrective measures are being taken.
