Family escapes home after bedroom fire

AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) - A family escaped a fire on Hillcrest Avenue in Amherst on Wednesday.

Crews say a resident and children were in the home when the fire broke out in a bedroom. They all made it out safely.

Authorities say the electrical fire caused $15,000 in damage to the structure and contents.
