ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) - Western New Yorkers were getting a workout Thanksgiving morning at ECC South.
Former Buffalo Bills player Ruben Brown hosted a flag football tournament to benefit the Ruben Brown Foundation, which supports youth development programs in the community.
"I feel like I'm a fun uncle to a lot of the kids. I'm not too serious but serious enough to tell them the importance of family, community, giving and just being a sportsman," Brown said.
Money raised Thursday will go toward the foundation's Holiday Giving Program, which takes children on a shopping spree that makes it possible to buy gifts not for themselves, but for a loved one.
