TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) - More jobs are rolling in as the GM Powertrain Plant celebrates a milestone.
A team of employees has finished building GM's final Eco-Tec four-cylinder engine. This project got underway back in 1999 and since then, the Town of Tonawanda plant built more than four-million of these engines. The employees will now be moved to other engine lines.
Also, the plant announced it will be adding some 40-jobs, with employees coming in from the Delphi Plant in Lockport.
