WEST SENECA, N.Y. (WIVB) - Goodwill Industries is branching out to West Seneca.
The charity opened its ninth retail store in western New York on Seneca Street Friday morning, its first location in West Seneca. Goodwill provides job training to people with disabilities and will have nine workers on staff at this brand new store.
Tom Lynch of Goodwill said, "This is our biggest store. Almost 10,0000-square feet. This is one of three stores where we actually take donations and process them right here, and we supplement it with stuff we have at William Street so our main, processing center on William Street takes donations in from trailers from all around town, mostly at Tops."
Money raised through sales at Goodwill stores support various programs for the disabled and veterans throughout western New York.
