SOUTH WALES, N.Y. (WIVB) - A hunter dodged a life-threatening situation on Monday after being struck by a car along Route 16 in South Wales.
State Police say the hunter had just exited his pickup truck that was parked on the shoulder of the roadway when he was hit by a southbound Dodge Neon. Incredibly, the hunter was unhurt after being thrown several feet, but his truck was struck and the car burst into flames.
Mercy Flight took the driver of the car to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Troopers say the driver has been charged with unlicensed operation and unsafe lane change.
