TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A judge has now sided with the state cemetery board, ruling the Amigone Funeral Home cannot move its crematory on Sheridan Drive in the Town of Tonawanda.
Call 4 Action's Al Vaughters first broke this story last year when people started complaining about the crematory's odor. There's no word yet whether or not the judge's ruling means cremations will resume at the funeral home.
The funeral home has stated it is in a conundrum - it is not allowed to move the crematory, but it also hasn't been allowed to operate the crematory.
