WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) - Some trick-or-treaters are getting their sugar fix a little early in Williamsville.

The American Red Cross and First Niagara hosted "Safe and Seen Halloween" at Erie Community College on Saturday. The event provided a safe and fun place for children to trick-or-treat. Families also learned Halloween safety tips.

Red Cross communications coordinator Jay Bonafede said, "As you can see, the hallway here at ECC North is all decked out for Halloween. Each door is also decorated. Kids can go up ring the doorbell just like they would if they were walking down the street and get some candy. Along the way they are going to pick up some great safety tips. We also have some interactive events at the building next door."

About 3,000 people attended last year's Safe and Seen Halloween. Even more were expected this year.
