BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A former prosecutor has lost a court battle against Erie County District Attorney Frank Sedita.

Mark Sacha claimed his first amendment rights were violated, after he was demoted and then fired by Sedita for being a whistleblower in 2009. Sacha claimed he was fired after he claimed Sedita let political operative Steve Pigeon slide on suspected campaign law violations in return for endorsements.

But Federal Judge William Skretny has now thrown Sacha's case out, saying it has no merit. You can read the judge's full decision here.
