HAMBURG, N.Y. (WIVB) - Parents in the Frontier School District were put on high alert after a warning was issued regarding a man approaching a child. But it turns out there was nothing to fear.
The alert was issued after a parent told administrators her daughter was approached early Monday morning on Rogers Road. According to information obtained by News 4, the girl was outside when a man in a small grey car pulled up, got out of his car and approached her. He told the girl he had the family's newspaper, which scared the girl. The district robo-called parents to notify them about the incident.
News 4 spoke to Hamburg Police on Wednesday, who say they investigated and determined there was no danger. The description given to police matched the newspaper delivery man, who had a late delivery of The Buffalo News.
