LACKAWANNA, N.Y. (WIVB) - It took years to decide what should be done with the old Bethlehem Steel administration building and a path has now been cleared to tear down the landmark.

But John Nowak of Lackawanna is on a one-man mission to stop the demolition. He has set up a tent outside the building to protest. Nowak believes the facade should be saved as a tourist attraction.

"It's 111 years old. It's probably the oldest building on Lackawanna's waterfront. And it's design is super. It goes back to the Pan-American Exposition," he argued.

Nowak says he will camp out as long as he can - weather permitting.
