CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) - When a People, Inc. driver tried to stop a disabled man from exiting a moving van too early, the driver wound up hitting a brick pillar outside Rite Aid.
The accident happened in Cheektowaga just before 7 p.m. at the Rite Aid at Harlem and Genesee Street. Capt. James Speyer tells News 4 that 47-year-old Tony Williams, a man with disabilities, was excited and tried to leave the van before it came to a complete stop. The People, Inc. driver tried to stop Williams from exiting, and in the process hit a brick pillar connected to the building.
