Remains of fallen hero to return to WNY

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A 21-year-old man from Williamsville has made the ultimate sacrifice in the war on terror.

Army Specialist Blake Whipple's remains will return to western New York, Friday.

The visitation for SPC. Whipple is at Amigone Funeral Home, at 5300 Sheridan Drive, in Amherst. The visitation is on Saturday and Sunday, 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m.

The funeral will be Monday, November 15th. The funeral will begin at 9 a.m. at the funeral home. At 10 a.m. a Mass of Christian burial will be at St. Gregory the Great Church in Williamsville.

He will be buried at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, in the Town of Tonawanda.
