ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) - A jolly tradition is returning to Orchard Park. Santaland is taking over Chestnut Ridge Park this weekend.
Erie County has presented this event for many years. For the first time in 2012, the Orchard Park Recreation Department is helping to present the event. This year, visitors will enjoy some new and exciting activities, such as a hay maze and marshmallow roasts. There's also a new way to give back.
"We're asking people this year to not only come and bring their kids to enjoy the festivities that'll be going on both Saturday and Sunday between 11 and 4 o'clock, but to bring a new, unwrapped toy that'll be donated in the boxes you'll be seing throughout the building for Toys for Tots," said County Executive Mark Poloncarz.
The Marine Corps Reserves are helping to put on the toy drive.
