EAST AURORA, N.Y. (WIVB) - An East Aurora High School teacher who had a high-profile run-in with the law has now stepped down.
The Buffalo News reports 36-year-old Ryan Ellis of North Tonawanda has resigned from his job with the district. Last month a judge threw out drug charges against Ellis, ruling that the crack cocaine police found in his car was seized in violation of his constitutional rights.
Buffalo Police are conducting an internal investigation as a result of Ellis' release.
