LANCASTER, N.Y. (WIVB) - Union workers are turning up the heat on Lancaster Supervisor Dino Fudoli.
Members of CSEA protested outside Monday night's Lancaster Town Board meeting. They say Fudoli is anti-union and fanned the flames by recently telling The Buffalo News the government is the enemy and its workers are the non-productive part of society.
CWA Political Director Ann Converso said, "So whether it be a teacher, a sanitation worker, a nurse at the VA, we're public government employees and it's insulting what he said."
Fudoli responded, "We have the producing side of the economy as far as the production needs, and the service side. And like I said the service sector is the public sector and it is certainly a valuable part of our economy and what we do for taxpayers. So I would hope that they look at what I meant to say as opposed to what they think I was trying to say."
Fudoli became supervisor in January after serving in the Erie County Legislature.
