BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Should the Buffalo Bills stadium be relocated from Orchard Park to downtown Buffalo?
The city's Common Council took up that issue on Tuesday, and it has generated a lot of comments from our viewers. Read some of the comments below and add your own in the commenting section.

Rick Conklin wrote, "Yeah, the taxpayer's [would pay for it], but at least the stadium would be in the city where it can be more easily accessed as well as it will be for more than football. Summer concerts, high school sports... the possibilities are almost endless!"
Sue Lewis thinks, "It's a great idea! There is plenty of open space downtown for a stadium and for parking/tailgating. Access to Buffalo businesses is simple, mass transit is available. Who needs a big box fishing store when we already have the BUFFALO Bills? I'm sure that OP businesses would complain. They have been great hosts for many years. But it's time to have a domed stadium and bring it downtown!"
"They used to play in here. That's where they should have been all along! The revenue would help build the city back up," noted Lorraine Parker.
Lynn Tulumello opined, "I thought that they should be in the city way back in 1972. I think that it's too far to go to Orchard Park and the police between the city and the stadium prey on people and try and hand out as many tickets as possible. People could take the subway to the stadium if it was in the city. Before and after the game would bring in good revenue for the business in the city."
And Matt Gracie wrote, "Outer harbor? It's mostly empty, plenty of room for a stadium and parking, and only a few minutes away from the FNC and Coca Cola Field. Easy enough to get to with the Skyway, even easier if they replace the Michigan St. bridge one of these days."

Dawn Sardes argued, "And who pays for it? Every single taxpayer - even those who would not go to a football game if it was free."
Phyllis Blazer stated, "Another horrible decision. Where wiil the fans park? It should have been a domed stadium in the city in the beginning."
Margaret I. Griffen wrote, "Who will pay for another stadium? Where will people park? What's wrong with where it is now? Let's not throw away money that can be used for something good for the whole city, and I'm saying this as a Bills fan, but let's be realistic - the city needs a lot more than building another stadium."
"Where's the money coming from for a new stadium? Use what you've got. If you have to, retrofit it with a dome so the Super Bowl can be played there. Wise up... no one has the money for a new stadium!" opined Lois A. Zendarski
James Cramer said, "Buffalo and the city does not have the highway system or parking to get 80,000 people in and out of the city in an orderly and timely fashion. I would never attend a game in a downtown stadium. They should be more concerned about the Bills even staying in Buffalo rather than a new stadium. And where the hell do they plan on getting the money from to do this? If it is anything like the Peace Bridge fiasco, hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars will be spent on studies and environmental and economic impact, to ultimately have nothing done. Leave a sleeping dog lie, and focus on the bigger issues troubling the WNY area."
Richard William Jenkins wrote, "No way. No tax money to pay for it. Only if they buy the land, they pay for the new stadium and new roads. Also pay for police to protect the people and cars. And get a winning team. No money from Buffalo or county use for this project, the Bills will have to pay for it all."
