WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) - Amherst Police received a "Lifeline" call from a home on Coventry Road in Williamsville Friday afternoon.
Officers found a 92-year-old driver had plowed through her garage wall and into the living room. The wheels were still spinning on the carpet when officers arrived.
Amherst Police Sr. Investigator Carl Fisher said, "Luckily the furniture stopped her from going right through the other side of the wall. She will be put in for a driver review by the NYS DMV on our direction. Apparently she had some confusion with this crash."
Investigators say the driver mixed up the gas pedal and the brake. She was not hurt.
