BATAVIA, N.Y. (WIVB) - Batavia Downs hopes to play its cards right and attract more gamblers.
The casino celebrated the grand opening of its newest gaming room on Tuesday. The expansion features 40 brand new slot machines.
President and CEO Michael Kane said, "The idea is to make us an entertainment destination, not just a local's casino. This is a place people can come and get entertainment of many different varieties, and enjoy their time."
More changes could be on the way for Batavia Downs. The casino is on working plans for a $27 million makeover.
