Fall from apt. complex was accidental

BATAVIA, N.Y. (WIVB) - Authorities have determined that a man who fell to his death at a housing complex was alone at the time.

William Hastings fell from his East Main Street apartment on June 12, 2012. The Monroe County Medical Examiner's Office has declared Hastings death accidental. At the time of his fall, Hastings had a high level of medication in his system, causing him to be intoxicated.

Batavia Police investigated and determined Hastings was alone and had a habit of abusing cough medicine. Examination of the scene indicated an accidental fall.
