BATAVIA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A man in Genesee County was killed when he plummeted from the seventh floor of a building.
It happened at the 400 Towers Senior Housing Facility in Batavia Tuesday afternoon. Police say William Hastings died after falling seven stories from his apartment. Officers want to know if his death was an accident.
Batavia Police Lt. Eugene Jankowski said, "When we arrived, the window was open and on the seventh floor from that apartment. As far as how it became open or what caused it to be open, we're still looking into it."
Police say they are interviewing several people who witnessed the incident. Hasting's body was taken to the medical examiner's office in Monroe County.
