BATAVIA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A mother is fighting to get her son off drugs. But that fight ended up getting the mother in trouble with the law.
Bath salts have sent Jason Lang's life into a downward spiral, according to his family. News 4 brought you that story and spoke to Nicolette Lang, Jason's mother, who is doing everything she can to stop his use of the synthetic drugs.
Nicolette went to the store where she believes he was buying the drugs and begged the owner to not sell to her son. She says the owner of the store called the police and Nicolette was slapped with trespassing charges.
On Tuesday, she appeared in court to face those charges and entered a not guilty plea. She says she'll fight the charges as she continues to fight to get back her son, though she's worried it may be too late.
"He's killing my son and he will end up dead, he will. And not just my son, he's killing a lot of people. It's a very bad addiction. I think he wants to stop. He begs to stop, but then the withdrawal is so horrible he has to do it again," Nicolette said.
News 4 will continue to follow this story.
