CORFU, N.Y. (WIVB) - Loved ones gathered in Genesee County Wednesday night to remember a young woman killed in a weekend crash.
Mourners walked from the Pembroke Fire Hall to the Corfu home of Kelsey Milks. The 19-year-old died after the crash Sunday night on Route 63 in Shelby.
At the vigil, Kelsey was remembered as a generous person and they wanted to be there for the people she left behind.
Shari Salim, who organized the walk, said, "Just to bring everyone together to let them know how much they're loved and how much strength they have to be behind them to get them through what they're going through."
Kelsey's sister Aleah Milks said, "It helps because we know that she touched so many people and it makes us feel better to know that everybody's here to help support us."
Four-other people survived the crash in Orleans County.
