BATAVIA, NY (WIVB) - A meet-and-greet session for a new yogurt plant in Batavia turned out more than 200 people applying for jobs.

The Muller Quaker Dairy hosted Tuesday’s event at Genesee Community College.  Muller is in partnership with PepsiCo.  It will be Pepsi’s first venture into the yogurt business.

The Muller Group expects to open early next year with a staff of about 180.

The $206 million manufacturing plant is currently under construction at the Genesee Valley Agri-Business Park in Batavia.
