BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - 2011 marked an interesting year in news, and News 4 viewers decided which stories they liked best on WIVB.com by clicking on those stories the most.

With the most clicks was, "Employee announces he quit on sign." A disgruntled employee quit his job at Taco Bell by putting on the outdoor marquee, 'I Quit - Adam,' followed by '&^%$ You :)' It got the attention of passing motorists, WIVB.com viewers, and many around the country.

Despite being confined to a wheelchair, Amherst-native Zach Anner won a travel-themed show on OWN, the channel started by former talk show host Oprah Winfrey. His show has since debuted on OWN.

After two teachers were allegedly caught in bathroom at Ralph Wilson Stadium having sex, the story on WIVB.com quickly skyrocketed. The pair of teachers from the Wilson School District are charged with public lewdness.

The sudden death of hockey legend and Buffalo Sabre Rick Martin rocked western New York. Supporters and friends came pouring out of the woodwork to remember a man known for his toughness and skill on the ice, and a heart of gold off the ice.

A Lancaster family experienced the unthinkable when a 14-year-old girl accidentally shot her 10-year-old brother in the head with an arrow.

And the family of an Iraq War veteran was devastated when their loved one died after plummeting off the Ride of Steel at Darien Lake.  Sgt. James Hackemer had survived death on the battlefield twice, and had to learn to live with new legs, only to die in a tragic roller coaster accident.

The small East Aurora community was rocked when a popular history teacher at the high school took his own life. Students gathered en masse to mourn the loss of the beloved man.

Trooper Kevin Dobson was conducting a traffic stop on the I-290 when he was struck by a car and killed. His death was felt statewide, and NYS Police from all over NY came to the trooper's funeral. Shortly after his death, the state enacted the Move Over Law, requiring vehicles to move to another lane or slow down when approaching emergency and hazard vehicles.

The suicide of Jamey Rodemeyer touched hearts across the nation and sparked off an outcry against bullying. That didn't stop some students from mocking the teen's sister at a school dance over her brother's suicide. The outrage felt in WNY translated to the story of the students' suspension being clicked on many times.

It's a mystery that still has no answer. Was an 8-year-old girl who died of asphyxiation murdered? Her father continues his quest for justice, and a new autopsy points to homicide.

The World Junior Hockey Tournament brought hockey enthusiasts from around the world to watch the teen-aged players compete at the former HSBC Arena. Team Russia won the championship, but may have gotten too rowdy and were kicked off their flight home.

A mother was arrested for drunken driving after her children, riding in the backseat, held up a sign to passing motorists that read, "Please help us ." The police commend the action's of one brave 9-year-old girl who sought help for herself and the two other children in the car.

After being born seconds apart 92 years ago, twin friars who worked for the St. Bonaventure Friary for 21 years died just hours apart in June.  Both even passed away from heart failure.

A Tonawanda wom an pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor for shouting "let him die" when her disabled adult son started choking on food in a restaurant. She was later sentenced to probation, but denied saying "let him die." A server at the restaurant disputes that, and adds the mother tried to stop her from giving the disabled man the Heimlich maneuver.
