CHEEKTOWAGA, NY (WIVB) - News 4 Investigative reporter Luke Moretti has learned that it took 28 minutes from the time the initial call was made by a victim in the fatal fire in Cheektowaga this morning until the first fire truck rolled up to the scene.

The breakdown has to do with the frantic call being made from the home with a cell phone.

Earlier today Cheektowaga Police Captain Jim Speyer told News 4, "We received a phone call from Buffalo 911, saying that there was a cell phone that came back to this area in Depew, Cheektowaga border that was a woman screaming for help."

The victims were Mohammad Ansari, Faaiza Ansari and Saaiba Ansari.  The cause of a fire remains unknown.

Luke will have much more on this part of this tragic story tonight on News 4 Buffalo at 5 and 6pm.
