WESTFIELD, NY (WIVB) - Flames broke out at a home just before 7 a.m Saturday morning in the Village of Westfield.

Crews arrived to the scene of a four apartment residence on fire where they were able to get everyone out safely.

Five residents were taken to Westfield Hospital for further treatment and were released for minor non-life threatening injuries.

One resident was taken to ECMC for smoke inhalation.

The Chautauqua County Fire Investigation team was called to determine the origin and cause of the fire. They found the cause was by a combustible material that was in close proximity to a heat source.

The Red Cross was contacted and is assisting all four apartments.
