ANGOLA, N.Y. (WIVB) - Classics V Banquet Center served as an anchor point Sunday for the Nineteenth Annual Penguin 5K Run to benefit Cradle Beach.
The Angola facility has welcomed in boys and girls who either have disabilities, or come from impoverished families.
CEO of Cradle Beach Timothy Boling said, "We also have a school-based program called project SOAR where serve 160 kids every day; 3 Buffalo schools right in the classroom, tutoring and mentoring. We have a respite program as well that serves 128 children. Collectively we serve about 1100 children, proceeds today go to help support those children."
About 700 runners took part in Sunday's run and raised an estimated $50,000 for Cradle Beach.
