BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - An autopsy will be conducted on a Holding Center inmate, found dead in his cell.

The Erie County Sheriff's Office says a 26-year-old inmate was found hanging in his cell, Saturday.

The Cheektowaga man was facing charges of forgery, possession of a controlled substance and equipment violations on his car.

Saturday's suicide is now the fifth since 2007.

This comes as the county faces two lawsuits over conditions at the Erie County Holding Center.
