BFD holds press conference after fire

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - An early-morning fire led to the dramatic rescue of six people. Sadly, 44-year-old Jonah Mitchell and 47-year-old Steven Sally, lost their lives after arriving at ECMC. Pastor William Jackson is on life support, Thursday afternoon.

The Buffalo Fire Department held a press conference Thursday afternoon at 1:30 p.m.  The entire 30-minute press conference can be viewed in the videos on this page.

The cause of the fire remains unknown.

Buffalo Police Officer Jared Domaracki was the first one on scene in the 600 block of East Delavan and called in the fire.

Officers Kenneth Agee and DeAnna Fera then assisted in the rescue. All three officers are from the "E" District.

Officer Domaracki has been on the force for about 22 months. Officer Agee has been on the force just over a year. Officer Fera has been on the force a little over 9 years.
