Black History Month honored

Buffalo Erie County Historical Society held event

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society held a special event on Saturday.

The society museum is honoring Black History Month.

Family day activities included African drum making and designing clay beads with traditional African symbols.

Visitors could even enjoy blues and music from the underground railroad.

Exhibits include information about Western New York's involvement in the civil rights movement.
