Cemetery completes flight 3407 plaque

Visitors can pay respects to crash victims

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - FOREST LAWN RELEASE: In readiness for the first year’s observance on February 12, 2010, of the crash of Flight 3407 in Clarence, New York, Forest Lawn Cemetery, Delaware Avenue, Buffalo, announces the completion of the commemorative crypt plaque and installation of remembrance benches.

The crypt, containing remains of crash victims, is located in Section 36B Lot 29 of the Cemetery, and lists names of all crash victims.

 

Visitors wishing to pay respects may obtain maps of the area from the Forest Lawn Office, or they may follow the Blue Arrows leading from the Delaware Avenue entrance to the site. Hours of operation are as follows:

Office: 8:30 A.M. - 4:30 P.M. Monday - Friday

8:30 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. Saturday

10:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. Sunday

 

The Delaware St. Gate usually closes at 5:00 P.M., but it will remain open ½ hour later on the anniversary, 5:30 p.m, for visitors. The Main Street Gates close at 4:00 p.m.
