BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - As family and friends pray for the victims of Thursday's fatal fire, Buffalo's Fire Commissioner is pleading with the public to make sure they have working smoke detectors.
On Saturday, residents in Buffalo can pick up free smoke detectors and batteries at one of three open houses.
10:00 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.
Engine 23, 106 Collingwood at Bailey
11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Engine 36, 860 Hertel Avenue
12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Engine 19, 209 Forest Avenue at Hawley
