BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Some Buffalo State College Students were using some serious elbow grease to help clean up a portion of the Queen City on Saturday.
With soap buckets and sponges in hand, nearly a dozen student volunteers from the group, INK tackled graffiti covered areas along Elmwood Avenue.
It's all part of a month long service project.
And what makes this group unique is that none of them are
Buffalo natives.
"All of us are from various parts of New York, NYC, Rochester, Syracuse but because we spend time here at Buffalo State, this is our community for the time, so we try to take as much care of it as possible," said volunteer, Megan Myrie.
INK is a poetry based club dedicated to community service.
