CLARENCE, N.Y. (WIVB) - February 12 2010 events to remember victims of Continental Flight 3407

Flight 3407 Memorial Walk

The families of flight 3407 victims are finishing the journey from Long Street to the Buffalo Niagara Airport. You are invited to walk in 1 of 3 legs: 10 miles (starting at Long St), 4.2 miles (starting at West Herr at Main and Transit) or 1 mile (starting at the Holiday Inn on Genesee next to the airport).

Long Street: 9:00am (meet at Clarence Center Fire Hall)

West Herr: 11:30am

Holiday Inn: 1:15pm

Shabbat service

Temple Beth Am will honor their former long-time Cantor Susan Wehle and all the crash victims with a Shabbat service at 7:30 p.m. on Sheridan Drive in Amherst.

Wives of crash victims are simply asking western New York to turn their porch lights on, to remember flight victims.

Churches are asked to ring their bells 51 times Friday night, at 10:17 p.m., the exact minute the plane went down one year ago.
