BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A worker was killed on the job on Friday at a warehouse for Buffalo Sweeping Compound at Smith and Elk Streets.
Officials say the man was caught and crushed by a large machine - either a payloader or a forklift - around 11:30 a.m. The injuries proved to be fatal. The man's name has not been released.
Federal and state labor officials are investigating the accident for possible health and safety violations and an autopsy is pending.
