Fire at former American Axle plant

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Buffalo fire crews responded to the former painting facility of American Axle on the city's east side, Wednesday morning.

One firefighter suffered minor injuries, in the fire that caused $50,000 damage to the building.

They say a fire started in the air conditioning unit on the roof of the building, located on East Delavan Avenue.

The building is currently in the process of being renovated.
