Firefighter resigns day before trial

LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) - An injured Lockport fire official will not be returning to the job.

Lieutenant Michael Collette submitted his resignation the same week he was due to face the city fire board for a disciplinary hearing. You can see him in the white shirt, taking part in filming for the upcoming flick "Henry's Crime" last December in Buffalo.

Collette had gone on disability earlier in the year for a back injury.
