CLARENCE CENTER, N.Y. (WIVB) - It's been almost a year since Flight 3407 crashed in Clarence Center.
Buffalo's Chief Federal Judge William Skretny, who's overseeing some three dozen lawsuits, is ordering mediation in efforts to reach settlements out of court. He's appointed four mediators to review claims filed by the victims' families. Many of them have been fighting for changes in airline safety and pilot training since the tragedy.
The cause of last February's crash remains under investigation.
