Hard work and dedication recognized

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - An awards ceremony Saturday night recognized the hard work and dedication of some local African Americans.

1490 Enterprises sponsored the Black Achievers in Industry awards banquet at the Adams Mark Hotel.

Local cleaning store owner, Venris Brooks received the Black Business of the Year award.

Many of the other honorees are in commerce, education and the media.
