Important Zicam nasal gel alert

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - We have a very important health alert to pass along. The FDA said consumers should stop using Zicam Cold Remedy Nasal gel and related products immediately.

Health officials said the nasal spray which contains Zinc can permanently damage the users' senese of smell. The FDA said about 130 consumers have reported a loss of smell after using Zicam products since 1999.
