ALBANY, N.Y. (WIVB) - Federal investigators are trying to figure out what caused a small plane to crash near Albany.

At least two people were killed when the aircraft plummeted into the Mohawk River Sunday.

Pat Montenaro witnessed the crash. "It seemed to be flying normally but low, tree level, wasn't making abnormal sound like there was any engine trouble or anything."

A third person was reportedly pulled from the wreckage, but the victim's name and condition have not been released.

Rescuers are continuing to scour the water for any other victims.
