BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - There's something magical about bubbles, falling from the sky.
Bubbles bring out the kid in all of us.
They have a way of making us feel bubbly when our spirits are down.
"Because sometimes you have a bad mood and you be like, OK there's the bubbles, I'm going to have a happy day at work now," said Chuck Incorvaia, the Bubble man.
The man who sits at his apartment window at Elmwood and Allen Street has become known to many Buffalonians as the Bubble Man.
"It gets a little tiresome at night when someone is shouting underneath the window, come on bubbles, come on bubbles," said Incorvaia.
Inside his third story apartment, hundreds of colorful wands hang from his window near the fan, used to propel hundreds of bubbles onto the streets.
The Bubble Man has become so popular the Buffalo City Common council recognized him for brightening the days of resident and visitors and believe it or not, he even has a spot in the Library of Congress.
He told News 4 one story about a police officer who looked as though she was having a rough day.
"And she stared up at the bubbles you can watch it happen, her arms went down, she was relaxed, her shoulders went down about three inches. She smiled and waved and got back in her car and left," said Incorvaia.
That's what it's all about, making people smile.
It's a way to beat the blues says Chuck, who shared with us his own personal battle.
"I'm patient at the VA. I've got a little blood disease that," said Incorvaia.
No matter his hardships in life, he's able to find joy, for a few minutes a day, making other people feel good.
In some ways you could say he's changing lives one bubble at time.
You've probably seen them as your driving past malls or shopping centers. People carrying or wearing massive signs.
Wednesday, News 4's Jericka Duncan will talk to them.
On Thursday, she will go one-on-one with Tim Kennedy, the sabres
rookie who's living his dream in his hometown.
