Nursing home workers get layoff notices
St. Francis Home slated for closure in February

Employees are getting layoff notices at a Buffalo nursing home slated for closing in February.
Catholic Health Continuing Care has served notice that it will close the St. Francis Nursing Home at Main and Benwood in Buffalo early next year.
An official statement says the closing is permanent. Catholic Health has not said how many employees will be out of work as a result.
