Over 1,000 lb. pumpkin rewarded

CLARENCE, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Pennsylvania man took home top honors in Clarence Saturday for growing the "Greatest Pumpkin".

Mike Matto grew a gargantuan gourd down in Bradford.

It's 1,040 pounds and 8 ounces.

That's more than half a ton.

That earned him first prize at this year's competition at the Great Pumpkin Farm in Clarence.

Matto beat his nearest competitor by 75 pounds.
