Pets and owners enjoy day together

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - If there's such a thing as the dog days of winter, there are people who enjoy them the most.

The Buffalo Daschund Club held its first meeting of the year Saturday afternoon at Dog Days of Buffalo on Amherst Street.

A good portion of the club's 200 owners and their weiner dogs enjoyed the day together.

Office Manager, Victoria Misuraca said, "Daschunds are also known as hot dogs. They're adorable, usually really very good-natured. Also, pretty high energy so this is a really fun activity for them because they get to run around and kind of tire themselves out a little bit."

Sometimes owners arrange one on one play dates for their dogs outside the facility at later times.
