BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) - Republicans could not claim victory in the race for Erie county Comptroller.

Philip Kadet, a retired accounting executive didn't receive enough votes to unseat Democrat Mark Poloncarz.

"I think we fought the good fight. We've done a wonderful job," said Kadet.
