Sen. to give away inauguration tickets

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WIVB) - New Yorkers who hope to attend President Obama's second inauguration may get the chance to be there, thanks to Senator Charles Schumer.

Thursday, New York's senior senator announced he will be conducting a statewide lottery to distribute inaugural tickets to New Yorkers who request them. The random draying will be held December 14th, New Yorkers must submit requests by December 13th through Schumer's website.

New Yorkers can fill out the entry form on Schumer's website.  Requests cannot be accepted by phone. Entrants will be asked to submit their name and address. Two tickets will be given to each lottery winner, and winners will be notified personally after the lottery is held.
