BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A brutal assault sent Buffalo police rushing to a Riverside bar
overnight. Buffalo police said the suspected attacker, 50-year-old
David Call of Buffalo.
This morning he is facing assault charges. Police said he
used a blade-like weapon to slash a man across the face.
Officers were called to Kate's bar on Tonawanda Street just
after 2:30 Tuesday morning. When they arrived they said they found
36-year-old, Billy Bryant of Buffalo, with severe facial injuries.
The victim was taken to Erie County Medical Center. Police
took the suspect into custody. Officials said an argument inside
the bar, lead up to the assault.
"I've been living here a long time. I know this area. It's
always quiet and nice all of the sudden I seen this mess," said
witness Carmen Torres.
Police aren't releasing the names of the victim or suspect.
