Students escape burning building
Multiple fire companies answered the call

ALFRED, N.Y. (WIVB) - Eight college students escaped a burning building in the southern tier.
Multiple fire companies answered the call to West University Street in Alfred, around 6:30 a.m.
Six students from Alfred University and two from Alfred State College, all escaped and they're OK.
Flames shot out of the front of the building.
Parts of the building collapsed into the street.
There are no reports of injuries and no word on a cause so far.
